“I’ve never thought of myself as a musician and I’ve never really thought of myself as a singer. That’s not why I started playing music. I started playing music because I had something to say,” Alex said in a 2017 interview with Spice Rack Studios.
In her debut album “Phases” Alex catalogues the up and down patterns of love, life and mental illness. With classic folk influences, Americana sounds and Southern gothic undertones, her lyric-centric writing focuses on the emotional themes that tie us all together.
