LA-based singer/songwriter Alyssa Barron crosses elements of blues, jazz, folk and bluegrass. Her soulful voice harkens back to the jazz era, while her bluesy belting has her favoribly compared to Linda Ronstadt and Janis Joplin.
Alongside the catchy blues, Barron's songwriting talent lies in creating lyrical, acoustic folk songs in the vein of Fiona Apple and Laura Marling. Since the age of twelve, she has been singing professionally, evolving from musical theatre to jazz, blues and ultimately excelling in folk music.
Barron's debut EP was recorded live at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.
Following its release, she toured England, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Iceland.
