"Homesick" is an album about friendships and how it feels to be deceived by them. It’s a reckoning with oneself and the counterpart, with the everlasting knowledge that perfection is not something you can acquire. People stumble, they fall down deep. There is no darker place than the one where thoughts sometimes end; panic attacks, depression, dissatisfaction and simple fear are waiting there. Songs like "Runaway" or "Heavy on my mind" tell the old story in a new way – but unlike the recipes for success that are being shouted into our ears everywhere in our self-optimization society, they don't sound like another promising guidebook. They have been written by someone who knows about darkness. And who knows that the greatest help on the way out is sharing your own story.
Doing what is most important to her, where she feels at home: on stage AVEC is at home.
