I did not have the best childhood or the worst parents or live in the roughest neighborhood in Oklahoma although i have passed through most of them. I grew up in project housing that was clean safe and efficient although we did not have any air conditioning because it was considered a luxury in the 90's until people in public housing started dying in the heat waves and finally our voices were heard and it was considered necessary to have a cooling unit.
The main character that i looked up to was my dad. Although mostly absent he still lived in the home and told the most amazing stories that i have ever heard in my life and he was well educated even though there was a shortage of jobs in Oklahoma in the construction category he still believed in land development.
My mother walked out on my dad when I was 10 years old and left us in the care of my aunt whom was younger then she was. We later found out that she had been seeing another man for several months before she walked out on us. I watched over my brother as best as i could and when my dad died at the age of 43 i was heart broken and felt like the only thing i had left was my brother and my music.
