Nathan Allen is a contemporary jazz saxophonist from Ontario, Canada. Nathan began exploring the world of musical performance when he was just old enough to walk.
His father taught him how to read and perform music first on the piano and then on the guitar. It wasn't until Nathan reached the age of 11 that he had to opportunity to pick up a saxophone.
Nathan is now widely known as a recording artist and enjoys producing music for a global audience of saxophone fans. His YouTube channel features smooth music, and vlogs about playing the saxophone, and Nathan’s renditions of top hits and timeless classics have placed him among the most popular saxophone players online. He also performs live weekly on the S.O.S Show for “Wine Down Wednesday” (Facebook Live).
Nathan is an Antigua Winds endorsing artist, representing the brand when he plays his “Antigua Powerbell” soprano saxophone.
Nathan's sound is influenced by many smooth and versatile saxophonists like Grover Washington Jr., Kirk Whalum, and Michael Lington to name a few. He has studied with Kelly Jefferson and Lorne Lofsky at York University in Toronto, Ontario. He has also received training from Eric Marienthal, Bob Reynolds, and Walter Beasley.
