Fizzing Funksters, is the moniker of the Melbourne-based electronic music producer Peppe Fizz. Inspired in part by, the forefathers of electronic music, such as Stockhausen, Kraftwerk, Moroder and Jeff Mills, and the music technology of the 70s and 80s, Peppe treads his own oscillating path, twisting the virtues of machines and synthesis, to produce sizzling soundscapes with a DIY ethos.
Since the early 1990s he has been experimenting with music machines, with the iconic Roland TB-303 becoming a signature ingredient. The 303 can be heard often across his works, both as a squelchy Acid bass synthesizer and as a sequencer for one of his favourite “fizzing funksters” the Roland SH-5.
Fizzing Funksters’ debut album “The Fizzing Funksters”, was mastered but not officially released in 1998. It can now be heard it on spotify. It features the downtempo classic “wanna go for a ride in my moog?” and other acid orchestrations.
Other Releases:- "Rhythm Songbook"(2011) has an Electronic Beat Tape Hip-Hop Vibe.
& the Cassa in "Cassa Jazz"(2013) refers to the Electro Bass Drum generator in the Leploop Rhythm Machine.
Machine Music is the latest work for Fizzing Funksters, featuring the monologue narration of Lord Drumatix. It conveys themes that appear to be science fiction, but are convoluted metaphors that we live with every day.
