Played on a hand-crafted guitar and featuring members of The Seven Ups and The Merri Creek Pickers, the band's line up is Trent Sterling (guitar/vocals, Arthur Witherby (bass/keys/vocals) and Don Sargood (drums/vocals).
TIE's most recent release Stoneface (2019) is a follow up to their first album Number 1 Pop Hit (2017) and two earlier Eps; Time Here Is Up (2015) and Self-titled (2013).
Stretching the boundaries of modern Psych, Stoneface is best listened to whilst having an out-of-body experience fanging through time and space.
"On Stoneface we really wanted to get deep in to Psych. The blues is still in there, but it's hidden behind a lot of fuzz and reverb. We also wanted to approach this release as a full album that is best listened to in one hit, rather than just a bunch of songs stuck together. There's some lengthy jams on there and some pretty heavy stuff, but there's also tracks on there like Jazzhead pt I and Stoneface which are pretty different to what people would expect from us."
