Folk-pop singer/songwriter Dany Bédar was born and raised in Val d'Or, Quebec. After relocating to Montreal at age 19, he signed on to play bass with the local band La Chicane in 1999, quickly proving his mettle as a composer with "Tu M'manques," which earned three Félix Awards and one Juno Award.
In early 2002 Bédar launched a solo career with the LP Fruit de Ma Récente Nuit Blanche. Écoute-Moi Donc followed two years later. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
