Pantaleimon is the musical project of Andria Degens, a vocalist and multi instrumental sound artist. Pantaleimon have collaborated with Hugo Race, Andrew WK, Stephen O’Malley, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Isobel Campbell, Jay Darlington, Baby Dee, Will Oldham, James Blackshaw, and Matt Sweeney amongst others.
Pantaleimon’s music spans five albums and two EP’s. In 2013 ‘The Butterfly Ate The Pearl’ was released on her own label, Grass Girl Music. <br>Her 1999 debut was very well received with Antony (now Anohni) saying, “I love Trees Hold Time. Andria has a lovely pure voice and her spirit is evident in her work. What a soulful collection!” Prior to Pantaleimon Degens guested on The Dirty Three’s ‘Horse Stories’ ; played guitar in “Wall Of Noise” by Wire at the Clapham Grand. Degens has also featured on, Susan Stenger’s ‘Soundtrack for an Exhibiton’ ; Current 93’s ‘Black Ships Ate The Sky’ ; X-TG ‘s Desertshore/The Final Report; Hugo Race’s ‘Between Hemispheres’ ; albums by Strings of Consciousness; and Lüüp. She's worked with Cam Archer, providing narration for a series of short films, and providing music for the soundtrack of his film Wild Tigers I Have Known'; in 2013, she worked with animator Eric Leiser on video singles “If I (Was)” and “Ember.” Andria co-ran Durtro Records, and then Durtro Jnana Records with her ex-husband David Tibet , along with Mark Logan, from 1997 to 2010.
