Jeremie grew up in an alternative way. He was given the choice to be homeschooled early on in his education.
Through his formative years he listened to field songs and recordings from the 50’s and 60’s. It really feels like he has an old soul and the songs he writes and performs feel authentic because it really truly is the music he grew up on. While the rest of us built our foundation on the top 40 or popular music of our time, Jeremie formed his understanding of what music was from the earliest recordings known to humanity. While most of us would have to unlearn the backstreet boys in order to write the music Jeremie writes, he is able to write classic feeling songs from his guts because it’s the only music he’s ever known. His first instrument was the harmonica. He was allowed to pursue the things he was passionate about and given very few limitations on his ability to dictate his own path. He found music and love for nature were his primary passions. So he moved to a rural town to start working on farms. He learned to tend to the land growing veggies, flowers and various crops. He would work on the farms and play guitar in the fields. This first record is the collection of music that was birthed from that experience and years of peaceful contemplation. He spends his time on the road traveling around the world playing music but the little farmhouse he owns with his family on the top of a hill in prince Edward county is always calling him back.
