He has been writing and performing solo, and with his band The Dysfunctionells since 1985. The Dysfunctionells, (“THE Butt-Ugliest Band in Chicago”) have backed up the Holy Modal Rounders at their reunion at The Bottom Line in NYC, and Krueger has recorded with Peter Stampfel on his own and with the band. </p><p>In the summer of 2017, Krueger released "Overpass", an EP pre-cursor to two full length albums he plans to release. The first , "Life Aint That Long", released 1/27/18 to critical acclaim. Krueger was chosen as a 2017 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Finalists.
