I've been busy since the 1960s (I'm that old). And I like to think I've become established on the international touring scene, playing regularly in Europe, Asia and the USA. Kindly praised for my "straight from the wood" guitar sound, I was also the winner of the 2014 Artist Aloud Awards "Best International Act".
My first pro band was KILLING FLOOR part of the British blues boom of the late 60s. The band backed Texas blues guitar star Freddie King and toured with the great Howlin' Wolf. Good times. In the 70s I co-formed SALT, who built a strong following in the UK, opened for Muddy Waters in London and played at the Reading Festival in 1977.
THE MICK CLARKE BAND was established in the early 80s and became successful across Europe and in the USA, appearing on numerous festivals with artists such as Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter and Joe Bonamassa.
In recent years we've played in Italy, Belgium, Bosnia and India, plus Sweden Rock Festival with Iron Maiden. I've released 22 solo albums so far. Hope you enjoy my music on Spotify - keep rockin' the blues! More info at www.mickclarke.com
