Paradise Club

  1. 1.
    Saturday Night
  2. 2.
    Cap 2
In a mere matter of months, Paradise Club have come bursting through the gates of the Adelaide music scene, immediately highlighting themselves as one of the most unique and exciting young acts to emerge from the South Australian capital’s sleepy suburbs in recent memory.
After only a handful of shows, the genre-bending 4-piece have caused a stir both locally and nationally with the quick-fire release of the two standalone singles ‘Cap 2’ and ‘Saturday Night’.
By means of a considered, yet idiosyncratic approach to songwriting, soothing melodies and brutally honest lyrical content, Paradise Club evoke the sounds of 90’s mid-west emo, 2000’s indie pop and 80’s new wave. Having already shared the stage with the likes of Endless Heights, Horror My Friend, Sleep Talk and more, Paradise Club are primed to build on this strong introduction, as they announce their first Victorian dates and a string of Adelaide supports.
‘Saturday Night’ and ‘Cap 2’ sees Paradise Club comment on the intrinsic contradictions of a middle-class upbringing in Australia, the unavoidability of its inbuilt drug culture and acceptance. Paradise Club embody this societal contradiction, interweaving delicate, warm guitars and comforting vocals with often solemn lyrical content.
