With a remarkable voice, unique guitar playing style and distinctive writing, Sicilian songwriter Fabrizio Cammarata blends his Mediterranean roots with a contemporary sound that draws inspiration from extensive travelling and explorations of visual and performing arts.
Following the release of his debut album Rooms in 2011, Fabrizio has toured around the world, opening for Ben Harper, Patti Smith, Iron & Wine, Daniel Johnston, Hindi Zahra and many more.
The new album Of Shadows will be out on Nov 17, 2017. It was produced by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini, Editors) and it will be released by 800A Records through Kartel Music Group worldwide and Haldern Pop Recordings in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
"A solar eclipse is a moment when a shadow, the absence of light, reveals instead of concealing. The shadow approaches, reveals, and passes in few minutes, leaving us just the memory of a temporary moment of awareness. It takes a moment to understand. It only takes a total eclipse inside yourself."
The EP In Your Hands features four tracks and videos released between late 2016 and 2017 and includes his version of Mexican classic La Llorona.
Mexico is also the theme behind the Italian-language album Un mondo raro, where Fabrizio Cammarata and his fellow Sicilian friend and acclaimed singer-songwriter Dimartino pay homage to late Chavela Vargas, "the Mexican Edith Piaf".
