His background in performance includes work with Houston Grand Opera and Broadway Across America as well as education in music at The University of Texas’s Butler School of Music. By combining aspects of dark alternative pop with his classical/theatrical training, Cullen began performing under the name of Point Blank Society in 2014.
While attending high school, “I Wanna Run” and “Point of Opportunity” were the first releases from Point Blank Society.
During Cullen’s continued pursuit in classical training, Point Blank Society’s debut EP was released. This work resulted in features on major publications such as MTV and was followed by Point Blank Society’s first nationwide tour.
“Tell Me I Matter” was the next released single, leading to Point Blank Society’s debut Billboard Chart appearance. In the midst of classical and musical theater projects at the end of 2018, Cullen completed the writing of his new EP, named after the title track “Inadvertent Preparation”.
Paired with the release of a unique dark pop rendition of the holiday classic “Blue Christmas”, the “Inadvertent Preparation EP” release date was set for January 25, 2019
