Playing together for three years, the band released their debut single 'Ruins of a gypsy' in 2018, which has been described as “rather splendid indeed” and “somewhat reminiscent of Talking Heads or Nathaniel Ratecliff”. The track caught on and racked up plays with numerous Irish radio stations.
Their music has spread across Ireland and abroad with festival slots such as Liverpool Tall Ships Festival, Sligo Live, Free Fringe Festival, Drogheda Arts Festival and a show in Dublin’s iconic venue Whelan’s. “We picked Priorland as a Sligo Live ‘Arrivals’ act in 2018 and they certainly didn’t disappoint, packing out their venue and earning a fantastic audience reaction. They’ll be back!” - Sligo Live Director Rory O’Connor. "Probably the best support act we've ever worked with. I mean that!" - Aslan
Priorland are currently in the pre-production and writing stages of their debut EP, scheduled for release soon.
