The partnership between Swedish/American pop newcomer Rhys and renowned songwriter Jörgen Elofsson is just meant to be. In early 2016, the 18 year old high school student Rhys stepped into Elofsson’s studio after being recommended as a demo singer.

Elofsson, who has written hit songs for popstars like Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson, was stunned by Rhys's voice and charisma. In their first session they created her debut track, the guitar driven ballad "Swallow Your Pride" which was released in November 2016. The Line Of Best Fit called it "stunning ... at once comforting and melancholy" and Swedish Radio P3 added the song to their A-list.

Second single "Last Dance" was released in February 2017. A modern and obvious pop smash, it quickly became a hit and Popjustice announced that it “Could quite possibly mark the arrival of a major new global popstar”. The song earned her a platinum record and has been one of the most played songs on Swedish radio in 2017.

During the summer 2017, Rhys established herself as a new star in Sweden, with several big TV performances and live concerts at the biggest festivals, before releasing her 3rd single "Too Good To Be True" on September 22nd. For the 3rd time in 3 attempts, the single was Pick of the Week at Swedish Radio P3 – a very rare accomplishment. Rhys also features on the new Robin Schulz album – all within the first 10 months of her career. The future looks very bright for the young talent
