Born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois, Rob started music early, starting with the cello. Rob picked up bass guitar and played in cover and indie bands throughout college and after graduating Rob moved to Chicago to played rock clubs with The Steppingstones, a power-pop trio that released a few EPs produced by Jeff Murphy of Shoes. Rob also started performing his at comedy clubs and taking classes at the Second City Training Center.
Rob became a regular at Chicago comedy clubs, started going on the road, and soon made the move to NYC. Rob found a home in the performance scene of the late 90s Lower East Side, where shows contained everything from sketch, burlesque, spoken word, music, and everything in between. He created solo shows, collaborated with a wide variety of artists, and continued to tour and put out new music.
In addition to his 6 studio albums and live concert album—so far—Rob has written a musical about boy bands, written and directed three one-act plays, and has produced music for other comedy music acts like Ben Pernick, Sam & Bill, Noam Osband, and more.
