Bryan Robert makes music for people who have an ongoing identity crisis: they dress socially acceptable yet entirely in black; they live the family-life but have one room specifically for that one passion; they want to shout who they really are but don't have a loud enough voice to be heard; they have dreams but are afraid to fail and lose those forever. When you listen to Bryan Robert, you will hear a bit of all hats he has worn over the previous almost two decades. You will hear poppy, easy-listening songs inspired by a combination of pop classics (e.g., The Beatles, ABBA, a-ha), rock classics (e.g., Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Led Zeppelin), EDM (e.g., Armin van Buuren, Avicii), rap (e.g., Eminem, Dizzee Rascal), metalcore (e.g., Killswitch Engage, Architects), pop-punk (e.g., blink-182, Sum 41), experimental (e.g., Radiohead, Muse) and everything in between. Bryan Robert has been playing in bands since he was twelve years old. He was the guitarist, singer, drummer, bassist and even tambourine player of a band at some point in his life. And it has always been about music; he studied a profession to have a steady income so he could keep making music. He played numerous music genres from metalcore and pop-punk to hip-hop and rap. He doesn't care: any opportunity to make music is an opportunity to feel alive. Bryan Robert is the bassist for Remember October (NED) and the Cat Murphy Band (CAN). He is always interested in collaborations: bryan [at] bryanrobert [dot] com
