Arms Akimbo is a 4-piece rock outfit comprised of Peter Schrupp, Christopher Kalil, Matthew Sutton and Colin Boppell; and their story is simple.
After meeting in college, they formed a band inspired by artists like Portugal. The Man, Local Natives, and Hippo Campus. They self-produced their EP, “Vignettes” and found immediate success, soon opening for WALK THE MOON, Said The Whale and Colleen Green. They began gigging around California at venues including The Roxy, Levi's Stadium and The Bootleg Theatre and paired up with producer Stephen Gomez (The Summer Set) for three subsequent singles.
Their track, “Michigan” went viral on Spotify with over 900,000 plays -- reaching #48 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart, #45 on the US Viral Chart, and #7 on the Canada Viral Chart in its first month of release. They followed these singles with sold-out release shows and a sold-out Echo Park Rising performance.
On the heels of a Santa Monica Pier Twilight Series performance opening for The Animals to thousands of people, Arms Akimbo released two new singles in the Fall, an E.P. to be released early 2018 and are gearing up to take their place in the indie rock scene.
