On her albums, as in her concerts, Licater’s unique approach merges her intuition, global perspective and traditional music background. She studied with master flutist R. Carlos Nakai complementing her years of classical flute training at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, MN. From Top Ten Best New Age Album by Amazon music editors to Best Relaxation Album by ZMR Music Awards, Ann Licater’s recordings are heard globally on satellite radio, streaming platforms and on in-flight entertainment under the Lifestyle, Well-being and Spa music categories. Licater has performed at the World Flute Fest at Carnegie Hall, on the Pacific Crest Trail for Trails and Vistas curated art hikes and at Sound Body, Sound Mind specialty week at Travel+Leisure Magazine’s top Latin American spa, Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico. She holds a B.A. from University of St. Thomas and an M.L.A. from Naropa University and divides her time between the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles, California. Licater is a member of The Recording Academy and an ASCAP writer and publisher.
