Kaycie Satterfield was born in Austin, Texas. She once opened the Burn Book with the intention of destroying her nemeses, only to find her own name mentioned thirteen times.
Her high school superlative was “Most Likely to Date Your Dad.” She sleeps in a shirt that reads “Someone In Nashville Fucking Hates Me.” She would love to drive you around 440 while you drink a beer in the passenger seat and cry about failed relationships, the expansiveness of the universe, the passing of time; as long as she can bring her dog Rosie, whom she named after a tamale stand in Spring Hill, Texas.

Kaycie draws from an eclectic array of influences, including St. Vincent, Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, and Rodriguez. Her pop sensibilities beckon comparison to Dusty Springfield, while her heavy-hitting rock ballads reminisce early Mitski.
Kaycie moved to Nashville in 2013 to pursue a degree at Belmont University. There, she recorded her debut album Your Favorite Records, released August 2017.
Following graduation, Kaycie moved to New York City. In early 2019, she released a 7” entitled Women’s Fiction on Brooklyn-based indie label Paper Moon Records.
She is currently working on her second full-length album, set to release early 2021.
