Skin & Bones
California-based rapper and producer Lund (the first letter is typeset in cursive) creates dreamy songs with melodic vocals, atmospheric guitars, and stripped-down beats.
His starkly confessional songs, such as 2016's "Broken," directly address depression, suicidal thoughts, and addiction.
Robert Lund began releasing EPs of his primarily instrumental productions in 2014. One of his earliest songs with lyrics, "Broken," appeared in 2016 and soon gained a massive online following. Two full-lengths, Gold and 2017's BlkBird, expanded on his dark, hazy hybrid rap sound. He moved to Los Angeles in 2018 and released a song called "Low," but was mostly silent that year, resuming his productivity with further singles in 2019. The following year, his earlier hit "Broken" was picked up Republic, who additionally released an updated version featuring Lil Skies and Noah Cyrus. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
