Berlin based German guitarist and composer Eberhard Klunker has devoted himself completely to the acoustic guitar.
One might describe his style as "acoustic fusion". His playing is not part the "fingerstyle" tradition; it also features elements of the rock-and jazz guitar world, a piano-like harmonic approach and percussive elements. The German "Jazz Podium" describes Klunker as "a cool jack of of trades in several stylistic ways". To preserve all the colours his instrument has to offer, he does not use any technical gadgets or sound processing. To a big extend the music of Eberhard Klunker is improvised, never a piece of music is performed in the same way twice. Main influences are Keith Jarrett , Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Django Reinhard and many others.
"Sixteen is a thoroughly listenable recording and is highly recommended for all fans of acoustic guitar music. " Minor 7th, Acoustic guitar reviews 2018
