Multi-genre artist James Douglas Cooper releases his new singles the dreamy surf-atmospheric cut “Feel It, Feel It, Today” and the lyrical acoustic cut “Good Mornin’ (Got a Lot To Do)” in November, 2021.
Last year, Cooper released “All The Way From Home” then “Silence Is Golden” and “Maybe Forever (Live)” - His first tracks in 8 years. New cuts were recorded and produced by Cooper in his home studio in isolation (due to restrictions) then mixed by Emmy® Award-winning producer Sean Carey (Cat Stevens, Don Was).
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Cooper has been on a lengthy hiatus from recording and releasing his music. After his 4 year tenure as lead singer and chief songwriter for Aussie indie group Citizen (1998-2001) and their EP Distance Between Strangers was released, Cooper’s debut solo record Second Season (Standard Edition) (2004) was released to glowing reviews and industry acclaim. After touring the record extensively in Australia, London (playing such esteemed venues as Ronnie Scott’s London) and the wider UK, Amsterdam and France, his crowd-funded, self-produced, low-fi sophomore record Foreign Cities (Expanded Edition) (2012) was the first full length outing on which Cooper played all the instruments, sang all vocal parts from his home studio in Europe.
Cooper is working on a new record in his coastal Australian studio due to be released in 2022.
