Following a hiatus and subsequent lineup change in late 2017, Taylor McCleskey, Beach Tiger's singer/songwriter, decided to take a year off from the band to clear his mind. Not knowing if he would ever return to the project, he released a few tracks under the solo name Kit Kazar, created a board game, and binge-watched sitcoms from the early '90s. In between episodes of Cheers one night he found an old hard drive filled with unreleased tracks. After weeks of listening, he landed on three that inspired him to re-open the project as a solo endeavor. The vibey EP entitled "Easy Livin' Dreaming" was released 1/24/19, on Coast Records.
After completing a grueling writing exercise in October of 2019, the project was inspired to undertake an extremely daunting endeavor that will shape its next decade. Calling it "The Beatles Ten", Beach Tiger will follow the early vision of the Fab Four creating a single every 3 months and a full album every 6 months for 10 years. The first album in this decade-long journey, Nostalgia Hot, was released on June 26, 2020 off McCleskey's own Southern America Records. Album number two, as of now called "Yenta", is currently getting mixed.
