It’s true. The hard rock trio from Atlanta, Georgia have been playing together for years and it’s their unique musical influences that are the foundation for the band, along with continually striving to be better musicians and songwriters.
The Stir has developed a powerful sound despite only being a three-piece. “The trio makes some things simpler, but some things more complex,” Tanner explains. “You have to really think about your dynamics as a band (when to be soft and when to be loud). You don't have that extra guitar or keyboard to kick in for the chorus and really lift it."
Rock fans from all over are catching on to The Stir since they’ve recently shared the stage with Fozzy, Collective Soul, Better Than Ezra, and Bad Company. The trio is currently hard at work on new music and we should see something before the end of the year. “Since we recorded those songs, we have written a lot of even newer stuff as well. I think our new songs are becoming more outside the box from your normal rock riff style of band.”
“The record I would say is mostly fast and heavy,” says Tanner. “It makes me want to drive 1000 mph.”
