In the growing landscape of symphonic heavy metal, Reflection of Glory is set apart by its Christian worldview and alternative metal roots.
With male-fronted vocals and alternative influences (contrasting the typical female-fronted power metal) Reflection of Glory is more than a 'Christian alternative' in symphonic metal. All of Reflection of Glory's music is written, recorded, and produced individually at home by Barry Dreier. His upcoming album "Reborn" marks a significant shift in sound and vision. Recognizing the contribution of great symphonic metal bands as a means of escape and catharsis, he seeks to join that musical tradition while speaking towards the hope of the Gospel. "Reborn" is a culmination of years of musical, technical, and theological training. Barry's love for music has been lifelong: a bass player since 13 years old, later earning a bachelor's degree in music. Recording and production became a hobby in high school, and he has since worked with more than a dozen artists in the studio. Over time, his love for the classical symphony orchestra, along with amplifiers and drums, fused these inclinations into this alternative symphonic sound. With this fresh musical identity, Barry is already anticipating and working towards Reflection of Glory's next independent release. As a single musician producing music of this kind and scale, touring is not an option at present - but he always keeps a hopeful eye towards the future.
