Having taken a songwriting class while studying at James Madison University in Virginia, he ended up signed as a recording artist to Sony Records in the U.K. and lived in London for a couple of years. Ultimately he related to Nashville to pursue more songwriting and producing.
Copperman is a five-time CMA Triple Play Award winner and two-time BMI Writer of the Year Award winner. Ross was also recently Grammy® nominated for Country Song of the Year and also received multiple Academy of Country Music nominations for Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year. He won a 2019 ACM Award for Music Event of the Year having produced Dierks Bentley and Brothers Osborne’s “Burning Man” collaboration.
In addition to writing and producing, Copperman continues to write, record and release his own songs and is also channeling his energy to help develop new artists of all genres and other creative musical projects outside.
