The Seamonsters are an indie glitter band from Sheffield driven by 80s inspired synths and angelic vocals.
Influenced by Pulp, Altered Images and Orange Juice along with more recent indie artists like Black Honey and The Wombats, they create catchy songs for dreamy dance floors.
Their debut single Lost (And Found) created a social media buzz around the band and started an interest in what was to come. Following this The Seamonsters sound was described by platforms such as the popular music blog Punktastic as “undeniably charming indie music” and by We The Germs blog as having “emotion packed fantastic guitar lines and an all-round summery feeling”.
The Seamonsters have recently played alongside VANT, Anteros, The Undertones, Kate Nash and Bill Ryder-Jones and hope to continue to spread glitter across the country. The band have named their genre of music as 'indie glitter' because of their love for all things shiny and the glittery keyboards that float across their songs.
The second single released by the six piece entitled Wonderland has reached the band out to an even bigger audience with an Alice in Wonderland inspired music video and bold artwork the band's creativity shines out through more than just their music.
