Jeremy Parkin is a 22 year old indigenous music producer from the Kwanlin Dün First Nation in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
Jeremy began his venture into music at the age of 11 when he picked up a guitar, a few years later he started music production when he bought a copy of FL Studio. He released his debut album 'Black Dog' on Oct. 24th, 2017 and is also one half of the Hip-Hop duo 'LOCAL BOY'. He has also done extensive production for the Whitehorse dance collective Borealis Soul for the past 3 years. As "LOCAL BOY" Jeremy has been opening for such hip hop acts as Zion I, Grouch & Eligh of Living Legends, and attending music festivals such as Breakout West and Forthwith. His track "Don't Let Go" was also recently just featured on CBC's Reclaimed, a weekly radio show focused on all types of indigenous music.
