Looking for a Dream

The Wild Wolf and the Dove
It probably all started when David Lombard heard Springsteen's “Born to Run” in his crib. Then, add determined years of fingerpicking in a small and austere bedroom, a mature and soulful “Don McLean-like voice” (Bernard Dagnies, Musiczine [FR\BE]) followed by tons of shows for practice, a pair of ears worn out by the likes of Tom Petty, The War On Drugs and The National and piles of novels for inspiration, and you've got the singer-songwriter's genuinely “gritty folk-rock quality that we could never tire of” (Tom Haugen, Take Effect [US]).
David Lombard's well-received debut album “Looking for a Dream” was released in 2019 on the independent record labels “Homerecords” (CD) and “Freaksville Publishing” (digital). It contains these mid-tempo intense and uplifting “tracks that drive out your fears and doubts, and replace them with a dreamer’s confidence and belief” (Tom Hilton, Aldora Britain Records [UK]).
