In just a few tracks, his abstract hip hop gives way to dance beats or psychedelic digressions on kraut rhythms. He is able to play with 70s prog and library music and to influence his sound with Afro and Balearic references, but always manages to resemble only himself. After the release of his first single, Dinghy (on Bad Panda Records), Alek Hidell has just finished recording his first album. He produces his tracks using samplers, tape echoes and analog synths. He has worked on Iosonouncane's album Die, recording synths and samples for two tracks, and has made remixes for Any Other, Matilde Davoli, Iosonouncane, Indianizer and Neeva.
