Their self-titled debut album released 2016 with a unique forest sound and great reviews, Post Rock Essentials calling it one of the best albums of 2016, eventually reaching #6 on their list, and the song “Avsked” one of the best songs of the year. Later Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet got nominated as “Best newcomer” and “Best album” for the poll of 2016 in the Post Rock Listeners Choice and got rewarded as #3 and #36 respectively right next to bands like fellow swedish band Cult of Luna. Their album also brought aesthetics and visual live shows culminating at the VIVID post rock festival in Kristiansand, Norway, sharing stage with bands like Kokomo, Syberia and Yndi Halda and also brewing a dark craft ale “Mörker” (Darkness) brewed by Lazy Kitty Brewery.
Their newly released follow up studio album "II" is about reaching the far end and depths of the world drawing inspiration from the sea. It is mixed and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (PG Lost, Alcest, Cult of Luna, etc) and recorded at Studio Gröndahl (Katatonia, etc).
Later in 2018 Swedish motion picture “Iris”, directed by Mattias Olsson for Midvinterfilm (Försvunnen, etc), will premier, for which Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet recorded the original motion picture soundtrack.
