Inspired by the greatest music of the past century, Chase the Bear draws inspiration anywhere from the incredible songwriting of The Beatles, the instrumental proficiency of Led Zeppelin, the unstoppable groove of funk and soul, and some modern rock for good measure.
Lead singer Troy Gilmore dominates the stage with his electrifying presence and smoky, powerhouse vocals while Connor Brooks, Leo Gilmore, Braedan Royer, and Jordan Phillips deliver tasty harmonies, raw musicianship, and an incredible amount of energy - an intimate experience that ends with an explosion of talent, passion, and occasionally confetti.
Since the new year, the band has released their debut, three-song EP produced by Band of Rascals' Malcom Owen-Flood (Lovecoast, Malahat, Jesse Roper). The songs will be followed up by a music video and subsequent tours across B.C. and Alberta, including a show at Vancouver’s historic Commodore Ballroom with The Trews.
A band of brothers, Chase the Bear shows unrivaled chemistry on stage, further showing that this isn’t a rock n’ roll revival band - this is a new animal that shows five young men from small towns can do something genuine and unique, all the while having the time of their lives.
