An arcane and adventurous indie rock band that mixes classic songwriting with popsike, garage prog and powerpop hailing from Miami Beach, Florida are unlikely contenders to be named after a Monty Python sketch; yet the musical collective Ex Norwegian indeed are.
Led by its founder Roger Houdaille, who ensures their large catalogue takes cue from artists like The Kinks, The Move, and David Bowie, delivering a constant stream of retro slacker garage jams and quirky, deconstructive pop songs - all usually under 3 minutes. Roger and co. keep enthusiasm high with their every growing audience and critics alike, whilst remaining somewhat elusive, or "On The Sidelines," to the mainstream indie scene. In 2019, Something Unreal: The Best of Ex Norwegian compiled some of the highlights from the bands catalog. In 2020, #NewMusicFriday sees the band releasing new music most Fridays with the new studio LP, Hue Spotting, out June 5th.
