Vex initially started out playing guitar at a young age, and has since gone on to produce and engineer for various underground artists around the Bay Area. By the age of 20, he had already made a name for himself as an engineer, and became the ‘go-to’ guy for many in the industry.
Inspired by the lyrical wizardry of Drake, Asap Rocky, Travis Scott and more, Vex’s next logical step in his journey saw him return to music production and focus on his own artistry.
It wasn’t long before Vex released a slew of hard-hitting singles, five of which reached Hypeddit’s ‘Top 50’ in the Rap Singles genre. Two of these singles, entitled ‘Hydro’ and ‘Games With The Devil’ secured a place in the top 10, which turned the media’s attention onto him. Fast forward to today and he has performed all across Florida, from Orlando to Miami, and most recently at ‘The Orpheum’ in Tampa.
So what’s next for Vex? Currently, it’s ‘all systems go’ for the independent artist as he sets the wheels in motion for his ‘Project Purp’ album, which is due for release in June 2019.
