Tom lives in Auckland, New Zealand, near a park where he reads in the sun and runs in the rain.
He was born in London before moving to New Zealand as a 7 year old. Growing up in Christchurch he developed an obsession with cricket and by the age of eleven could swing the ball both ways.
In his late teens Tom’s love of typography drew him to Wellington, where he studied design. It was here that he first started playing guitar and writing songs. An early collection of demos recorded in his bedroom, Red Leather Blues, was shown to a handful of people then quickly hidden away, and given away, on Bandcamp.
In 2011 Tom moved to Auckland, where he would write for advertising agencies during the day and write music by night. It was during this period that he penned and performed the songs that would eventually make up his debut album.
Howl and Whisper was released in early 2016. Recorded in Lyttelton with producer Ben Edwards (Marlon Williams, Nadia Reid) it was praised for its diverse songwriting and compared to The Waterboys and Bob Dylan.
Tom quit his job in 2017 to spend more time writing music and making pasta by hand. He has recently released his second album, Template for Love.
