Francesco 'Chaz' Taranto (1990) from Zwolle (NL) already had a long resumé as a guitar player for bands such as KNARS (formerly Knarsetand), Quibus, Stefany June and NNENN, but conversely, guitar is one of the instruments you’re least likely to hear in the music he makes as Elemenopee.
Elemenopee's debut EP ‘First of May’ was released on it’s titular date in 2018 and showcases a wide range of house music, ambient house perhaps being the most accurate description with reverb-drenched analog synthesizers taking centerstage. ‘First of May’ also features the track ‘Poly Ring’, previously heard on ‘New 12’, the yearly compilation record featuring talented, up-and-coming electronic music producers.
2018 also saw the release of debut EP 'I / ∞' for Berlin-based project O-SHiN which featured Elemenopee as (co-) producer and songwriter, and guitar player as well.
2019 saw the release of Evva’s debut EP ‘Rainbow's End’ produced by Elemenopee, accompanied by an official Remix for the premiere single ‘Angel’.
September 4th marked the first collaborative Elemenopee release with the single 'Gonna Find Her' featuring New Zealand multi-instrumantalist and vocalist IHAKA.
That was followed by sophomore EP ‘This Will All End Badly’ one month later on 10-10-19, a slight departure from debut First of May favoring acoustic piano and strings rather than analog synths, emitting a more cinematic feeling overall.
