At the end of his college freshman year, F L A C O began experimenting with hip hop on his friend’s Macbook, with little knowledge of or connections in the industry. Since then, he’s released a slew projects, including GUNSFORGIRLS and the recent WRKFRMHME, which have highly praised by tastemakers including Pigeons & Planes and NoJumper.
While many artists derive inspiration from the culture of their region, F L A C O never felt connected to his surroundings in Indianapolis. He is “The Boy From Nowhere,” which has forced him to create his own style — one not easily captured. Working with multimedia visionary Tyler Hoyt, F L A C O’s visuals enhance his sound and captivate viewers, drawing them into his world.
