Not That Great
Formed in 2016, Midwestern based LASKA crafts music with a blend of intricate vocal harmonies, sweeping instrumentals, and profound lyricism.
Sisters Hannah, Bex, and Mookie Morton balance ingenuity with classic storytelling to create a unique sound that blurs lines between genres such as folk, rock, and alternative indie, resonating with listeners from any background. In Spring of 2020, LASKA released “Time it Won’t,” an EP exploring the sisters' approach to understand their mental health and interacting with the people around them. The Mortons, along with Evan Middlesworth (producer/guitar), Keegan Burckhard (percussion), and Robbie Weisshaar (bass guitar) perform with a sincerity that dissolves barriers between themselves and audiences, allowing listeners to transcend into a reflective emotional experience. LASKA will be releasing “Grandma Curly,” a song contemplating generational hurt, in October, and is currently at work on an EP slated for release this winter.
