Lee Gantt is a storyteller. “When I play music, I tell stories,” he says.
“I want to paint scenes in ways that allow people to just close their eyes and imagine themselves in those moments.” Born and raised in the heart of the Midwest, Gantt honed his skills playing in clubs around his native Columbus, Ohio. Citing the likes of Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Eric Church and Conway Twitty as influences, Gantt's unique blend of old-style country lyrics, new-school country melodies, and gritty heartfelt lyrics coupled with powerful, driving melodies are the hallmarks of his sound. “I strive to connect with audiences on a much deeper, much more visceral level,” Gantt says. “Of course, I want to invoke emotion, but my hope is that my music also helps people to cope with the sometimes harsh realities of life, love, and coming-of-age.” For the past 7 years, Gantt has toured the country, at times on his own and also alongside artists such Chris Young and Dustin Lynch, averaging 150 shows per year with a goal of reaching across the globe, working tirelessly to hone his skills as a performer and deepen his already strong bond with his devoted ‘GANTT BANDIT' fans. A regular member of the Nashville writing scene, Gantt now splits his time between Columbus and Nashville, garnering his reputation as being one of the hardest-working independent artists in the business. Citing his debut EP, released in Fall 2017, Gantt says: “It’s only the beginning for me. My story has really just begun.”
