Rusty Shipp is a band from Nashville, TN that likes to call their sound Nautical Rock 'n' Roll.
They take inspiration from an eclectic mix of bands and genres, combining the hook-heavy, pop prowess of The Beatles with the surf rock vibes of Dick Dale and his Del-Tones mixed with the aggressive sounds of alt-rock giants like Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Thrice. This wide variety of sounds is fully on display in their brand new concept album 'Liquid Exorcist'. From the crushing waves of guitar in Liquid Pendulum, to the 60's surf-craze-influenced Detonator, to the submarine crew tribute to Chris Cornell in their stripped-down version of Audioslave's Show Me How to Live, Rusty Shipp has a new sound for everyone. Check out the music video for their Nirvana-influenced, grunge-pop hit Breaking Waves that was filmed on a submarine: http://bit.ly/RS-breakingwaves
