Yorick van Norden debuted as a solo artist with 2015's widely acclaimed 'Happy Hunting Ground' on Excelsior Recordings.
He was elected Radio 2 Talent with his single Stranglehold and a successful Dutch club tour followed, as well as being Neil Young's support act at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. Yorick also joined the band of Flemish singer Bent van Looy (Das Pop) and together with Anne Soldaat (Daryll-Ann) toured the Netherlands with Unsung Heroes. In this musical performance the pair paid tribute to forgotten pop heroes, as well as performing their own work. And as if that were not enough he also performed Frank Sinatra's album Watertown fifty times alongside one-off collective Club Helmbreker on theatre festival De Parade and acted as artistic band leader, singer and guitarist in Leo Blokhuis' theatrical productions Pet Sounds 50: Tribute to The Beach Boys and The Summer of Love. Yorick regularly guests in various radio and television programs in the Netherlands as a pop music expert. His second solo album on Excelsior Recordings is expected in 2018.
