Stalagmites are a 3 piece from Salford: Bradley Lynch (Vocals/Bass), Alex Hardman (Guitar) and Daniel Jones (Drums).
Their single, Binary, released in 2017, has received national airplay in the UK from Steve Lamacq (BBC6 Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X). So far in 2018, the track has been featured on the fashion segment of ITV's This Morning twice, with the band realising that the track not only has the quality to prompt respected DJs like Lamacq to say it's "like a lone voice in the dark", but that it also works as a soundtrack to Holly & Phil presenting a selection of coats and shoes.
2018 has been getting even better too with the release of a live performance of a rework of Underworld's 90 dance classic Born Slippy (Nuxx) to mark the start of their relationship with London-based label Veta Records. This will be followed in June with the release of Projectile Dysfunction, the band's account of the difficulties of keeping a band together and navigating through the unfavourable climate of the music industry. Further singles will follow later in the year with a string of gigs interspersed throughout. 2018 is looking pivotal for Stalagmites, I wouldn't turn away if I was you.

“Sounding Excellent. My Xposure Hot One” John Kennedy, Radio X
“I’m not saying Stalagmites are the next legendary Manchester band, but based on ‘Binary’, they're off to a good start.” If It’s Too Loud
“Truly infectious.” Gigslutz<br>
