While growing up in a musical household (her father is a classical guitar virtuoso who studied with Andres Segovia), Brooklyn based Linda Draper listened to everything from Bach to “Bop” from an early age before moving on to writing her own songs and playing guitar.
By the turn of the 21st Century, Linda Draper immersed herself in the “Antifolk” Music scene in New York City. In 2001, she recorded her debut album “Ricochet” with Kramer (Galaxie 500, Will Oldham, Daniel Johnston, Urge Overkill). Their partnership continued with her next three LP’s, including Linda’s debut album on Planting Seeds Records, “One Two Three Four”.
In 2007, she recorded her next album “Keepsake” and 2009 Linda returned with her sixth album, “Bridge and Tunnel”. Draper’s seventh album, “Edgewise” was produced by Matt Keating and self released in 2013 (and later released on vinyl by Planting Seeds Records).
Linda's latest album "Modern Day Decay”, was also produced by Matt Keating and engineered by Grammy Award winning Engineer Geoff Sanoff. It was independently released in 2016. This album features Jeff Eyrich on bass and Eric Puente on drums.
Linda has forged her own musical path for the last two decades. She has opened for Melissa Ferrick, Luka Bloom and Teddy Thompson, among others. She will be returning to the studio to record her next album with Jeff Eyrich in 2020.
