Combining the party elements of electronic music with energetic and chaotic riffs, electro-industrial metal outfit 'Were I Blind' are about to bounce into the scene with their Korn and Rammstein-esque influenced tunes.
The band who are from London, were formed by drummer/songwriter OC Preciado (Breed 77, Reverted), Alberto Marin (Def Con Dos, Hamlet, Kaothic) and Andrew Trewin (Collisions, Magna Carta).
The name “Were I Blind” also the title given to their debut E.P and first single, is an analogy of the concept of how society is being subliminally controlled through media and how we/society are continually becoming more blind to what is actually going on in the world by feeding our egos with materialistic gains and likes on social media.
“If we were to close our eyes, perhaps we would wake up and see the truth”.
With lyrics about suicide terrorists, Brexit, and often touching grounds of spirituality they’ve been described by their fans as “a mix of Korn, Rammstein and Pendulum with a most innovative present-day sound”.
Having accomplished a studio work with producer James ‘Lerock’ Loughrey who has worked with Skindred, Lionel Richie, Manic Street Preachers, Page & Plant, Bjork, Def Leppard and Dave Gahan just to name a few, the band have just released their debut E.P which includes the singles Imploding Lies, Were I Blind and a surprise cover of Depeche Mode’s legendary “Enjoy The Silence” which was premiered in Metal Hammer issue September 17 "Metal Hammer goes 90's".
