Swiss-Indian, London-based singer/songwriter Ta’Shan is impactful in every sense of the word. From her unique vocals, captivating lyrics through to her striking looks, Ta’Shan clearly strives to be authentic and unique in all that she applies herself to.
“Every country that I visit has some sort of influence in my music”, she says, affirming her mission to create art that blends both her Swiss and Indian cultures. Ta’Shan goes by ‘Bombay Mami’, which has soon become her whole world and brand, as well as being the title of her latest EP, Bombay Mami Vol.1. The empowering singer brings you on a musical journey through her international sound, which is a mix of R&B, Pop, Trap, Indian sounds and influences from all over the world. Since moving to London three years ago, she’s had strong support from the BBC (Asian Network, 1Xtra and Radio 1) as well as from numerous publications such as Clash and Hunger magazines. In a short amount of time, Ta’Shan has been in sessions with some of the most sought-after UK producers – iLL BLU, Diztortion, iO, ZieZie, Ebenezer and many more. After acclaimed performances in 2019 at both The Great Escape and Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing Stage, Ta’Shan was chosen as one of O2 Music’s ‘Next Generation’ artists, being introduced as part of the best new talent across the UK right now through a series of videos. After a successful 2019, Ta’Shan is ready to spice up the music scene with new music and with her very first European Tour in 2020.
