His sound has been likened to that of Jason Mraz, Lianne La Havas and James Morrison, combining folk-pop, groovy soul-blues and a touch of jazz harmony, all without losing his relatable touch to songwriting. No surprise then that he opened up for Morrison at his sold-out show in Luxembourg in 2019.
To date Island has performed close to 300 shows throughout Europe, selling out venues both at home and abroad. By asking audiences in student towns to invite him over for intimate living room concerts, he steadily grew a loyal fanbase with acoustic pop-up shows. This DIY approach led him to share the stage with Charlie Cunningham, Alex Vargas, Leif Vollebekk and Mighty Oaks, and showcase at Sonic Visions, Liverpool Sound City and Popronde Netherlands, where the most promising upcoming acts are selected to tour around the country for three months.
His latest release "Exaggerator", produced by Them Lights, entered the Luxembourg Charts in August 2020. He is set to release his upcoming EP in February 2021.
