Born in 1998, Simon Oslender plays beyond his years. Considered the new rising star of the European Jazz scene, the German musician has made a name for himself as a member of Wolfgang Haffner's band as well as the new fusion supergroup Bill Evans And The Spykillers whose tours have taken Simon all over the planet from Europe to Japan, South-Asia, Africa and Australia. Taught and mentored by pianist extraordinaire Frank Chastenier among others, Simon started playing professionally during his high school years. His deep musical connection with Dutch drummer Jerome Cardynaals was the foundation of the award-winning duo "Twogether" (nowadays "Oslender & Cardynaals"), touring all over Europe and releasing two albums. After finishing school, things really started to take off for Simon. He has since played, recorded and collaborated with some of the music industry's royalty: Nils Landgren, Randy Brecker, Thomas Quasthoff, Metropole Orchestra, Dr. Lonnie Smith, WDR Big Band, Clueso, Max Mutzke, Candy Dulfer and many more. 2020 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Simon: the release of his debut album "About Time" (Leopard Records) which features Simon's original compositions and an exclusive selection of guest artists making it a must-have for music lovers of all kinds. A combination of musical integrity, joyful energy, exciting dynamics and the love and care put into every note are what makes this record feel like a warm breeze.
